The Ghana Education Service has responded to a viral video that shows a Senior student of Adisadel College, Cape Coast assaulting a junior at the highest level because the junior threw his phone to the ground(tiles).
In an official communique from the Management of Ghana Education Service, signed by Head of Public Relations, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the G.E.S applauded the school authorities for taking swift action to suspend the culprit and has also directed the Regional Director of Education to liaise with school authorities for proper investigation to be done.
In the circulating video, the senior held the two upper arms of the junior from the back, raised his head a little, and banged it on the metal bed. This act of his gave the student a big cut on his right upper jaw. There were some students around but no one bothered to help the junior by stopping the Senior.

This is the official state from the Public Relations Unit of GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE
This bad act of seniors assaulting juniors in Senior high schools has been going on for a long time across the country and no good action has been taken to make it extinct. Most Ghanaians are with the notion that “I went through that so you also need to go through that too” and this is the main reason why that bad act is still thriving.
